Heat strip installation?

Does anyone know if I can get a heat strip installed in my 2013 Sunseeker 2050 LE air conditioner?

I am wondering if I can do that and what is involved.

You might be able to but I suspect the cost will be a deal breaker. It would be a lot cheaper to run a small electric space heater...

Depending on what AC unit that you have, I put one in my Columbus with a Dometic unit and I only spent 59.00. The investment has been well worth it. I contacted Dometic directly to get the correct part number of the one I needed. Dometic will kill you in shipping, I bought mine from RV Parts Country. I hope this helps.

While we have the heat pump we use an oil filled mini heater to keep the coach toasty all winter. We have used it when we camped below 30 degrees. Pulls 10 amps (1200 watts) , did a great job. Ended up too hot inside. Look at my misc album for the pic. It travels well in the 2300 water bay with the grill.

Both Coleman and dometic have a heat strip that can be put in. I know that the Coleman you have to add a thermostat wire and buy a new stat. Most units come with 5 wire and it takes 6 to run the strip on a coleman not sure on a dometic.
