How do I

Ok I found that the vent to our stove doesn't open when it on and I can not figure out how to get it opened, heres a picture of it.

I do not have this style of latch but from others who have had issues.. They say it does open, just requires some extra force....

those 2 latches are very tight. Might need to use a flat screwdriver to pop loose if you can't push hard enough with your fingers.

It looks like there are two "tabs" on it that you push, pull, or flip to open the vent

Use your thumbs & push up on both latches; very hard at first, but will get easier the more you use it.

What he said. I've got the same one on my Forester. It took a little bit extra umph to get them open the first few times, then they tend to loosen up a bit.

To open, pull back and push up on the tab with your thumb.

Don't push straight up, it's more of an outward and upward push and yes, it does take quite a bit of pressure.
