How Does the my Seat Work?!?

Hi Everyone:

Ok, I know it's a weird question. . .

My 3150S came with an optional driver seat that rotates, and I can't rotate it. There is a yellow lever that I have been pulling on in every direction with no luck, and of course no manual or support.

Does anyone have one of these seats and know how to use them?

Thanks all,

Bill

From within the motorhome (not in the cab), pull yellow lever and at the same time, pull on the seat itself. It will slide down a diagonal track towards the center and rear of the cab. Once it can't go any further, let go of the yellow lever and grab the seat by each side and spin it clockwise. You might need to ensure the seat is not reclined as it may not make proper clearance on the door. Once it fully spins around, push the seat diagonally back to where it came from when you previously pulled the lever. It will lock into place.

Put the seat back pull the yellow handle while trying to slide toward the console forward but a little side ways then once it makes that slide you can turn it not easy needs to be broken in very hard to turn there is a video on the forum somewhere or on you tube have seen it before

I have the same problem on my Forester 2701. I have oiled the mechanism and worked to loosen up the swivel, still very hard to work. Have about given up on the seat swivel.

Sometimes the seat must be fully forward or fully aft before it will rotate. I believe the seat back may need to be in its' fully upright position as well before it can be rotated. Excessive force should NOT be necessary once the seat is in the required position. If you still can't figure it out, try going to the appropriate dealer (Ford, Mercedes-Benz etc) and ask that they show you how to safely do it. When an owner asks for help with a safety issue, they're less likely to blow you off. Make note of the person you speak with should any issues arise later. If you didn't get at least the BASIC truck manual, I'd recommend that you order one from the truck manufacturer. Said manual may be available as a .pdf download at the manufacturer's website.

We have a Sunseeker 2500TS and the swivel seats are a bear to operate. Ours does not have a yellow lever. The trip lever for the forward/rear adjustment is tripped to slide it to the rear most position. On the side inside track to the rear is a small black lever that you must trip and the seat will then rotate. You have to work at it, but it will actuate. As jkoenig24 states, the seat must be in the upright position to fully swing. But is has nothing to do with the mechanism. Hope this helps.
