How to repair small crack in basement hatch door?

Ok, I made a newbie mistake with my new to me Sunseeker. I put the bedroom slide in with the basement hatch door up. It closed on the hatch and caused the latch to crack the fiberglass panel at the latch. So what can I do to fix it? I am mainly worried about water intrusion as I assume the door has wood inside? Can I put a layer of clear caulk over it?

No photo, will take one this weekend though I hoped to repair it this weekend. It is two small, 1 to 2 inch cracks extending from the latch.

Or some tape for a quick fix. Just bondo, sand, paint, clear like any gel coat fiberglass.

I have used Flex Seal on my RV, just don't go crazy with it.

Don't use caulking or Flex seal or bondo. This is fiberglass with a gelco finish much like a boat has. Go to your local boat supply shop and ask for gelco patch. You can get many colors and it mix and applies easy. Then you sand with 2000 grit paper to a matching finish. May take a little extra time but will be permanent fix.

Drill a small hole with a 1/116" drill bit (or smaller) at the end of the crack.....Put some instant "ca" glue in crack and then some car wax.....J

This sounds promising. The coach only has 5,000 miles and I hope to have it for years and hate to have an ugly patch already. Will check into this and see if I can make it at least not too visible.

Sorry, that's what I meant. We still call it bondo here...just so used to the term.

I suggest you not use silicone for any repair. Nothing will stick to silicone if you need to add anything on top of it.
