Ideas on lifting bed to access storage below?

Did anyone figure this out? We just purchased a 3011 with a bed slide! Almost took my fingers off trying to access the under bed storage.

I have a newer 3120 than the OP - I am currently working on a method to install the props - currently thinking that the props can be removed to operate the slide out - then attached to assist with lifting. I got the kit last week and had the same reaction as the OP - when I get it to work I will post the solution - this weekend perhaps?
