Just to be clear, my post about RV values was regarding MY vehicle's collision portion of my policy. I was talking about how State Farm insures it for MSRP when, in reality, replacement would not require paying anywhere close to MSRP. They are essentially squeezing a little more out of each policy.

wrapperman - You're talking about something different, the liability portion of your policy. Agreed that you need more, not less, given a generally litigious society. But, that said...

NCIC105 - You are spot on regarding an umbrella policy. It's more cost effective & covers more situations to insure yourself from a liability perspective with an umbrella policy versus any 1 individual vehicle policy.

I agree it appears all insurance companies up the true value of your property, so they can charge you a higher premium.

We got $484/year with Progressive. It's an agreed value plan with reasonable deductibles.

Thanks Guys!

We went with Good Sam after trying 'bundling' with home and auto. Turned out that Sam for RV and house/cars with Costco was cheapest.
