I'm a Good Sam Member and just took delivery on a 2014 Sunseeker 3010 and I will be paying $350 a year with $1,000 ded. As the other have said shop around because there are plenty that will be better then the quote you received.

You need to shop around. I have a 2013 Sunseeker 2300 insured by Progressive for $322 per year. The policy had a $500 deductible, $500,000 liability coverage, and full replacement cost for the first five years. I purchased this policy in 2012 and since I didn't have a claim in the first year my premium is now $316 and my deductible is $375. I did not go through a local agent but called the 800 number and handled everything over the phone. Someone is making a lot of commission for a premium of $160 a month.

State Farm quote

I just paid our annual State Farm premium for my 2006 Sunseeker 31 footer and it came in at about $370 with 1K deductible. I'd query them again and ask some pointed questions, like what the heck are you thinking?

We have been customers of GEICO for 20+ years. However their RV insurance doesn't cover what Good Sam covers. We went with Good Sam and psy under $500 a year.

If you are a USAA member they now offer RV insurance through Progressive that you can access through the USAA web page. Very fair prices.

Markangie24, that is exactly how I have my policy through USAA/Progressive since 2007. Great prices!

While you are comparing prices don't forget to compare coverage. It can really differ from one policy or company to another.

What the above poster said is true, reason we went with good Sam. They are in the business of insuring motorhomes. GEICO doesn't cover most the stuff Good Sam does.

Are you a full timer? My insurance is about $500.00 a year. Company told me it would be triple that if we lived in 6 months or more a year.

I received a quote from Good Sam on my 2014 Solera and they want $120.00 per month. Progressive wanted $84.00 per month. These quotes are not for a Sunseeker but they give a little idea of differences out there.
One driver or two drivers make a difference as well.
