Insurance for sunseeker

We just bought our first motorhome and our quote for insurance on it is $160 a month. Is this a good quote? It sounds high to us, especially since we have excellent credit and driving history.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Sounds high to me. My 2014 Solera is $52.00 monthly through Geico. Allstate wanted almost 3 times that much.

Thanks for your response. This quote was from State Farm which also has our home insurance. We better get more quotes.

Progressive is around $500 a year on mine. Allstate quoted me $1900.

Nationwide with full coverage and $500 deductibles, $260 per year. I have my insurance (car and home) with them as well.

Price really depends on the coverage you are wanting. For me, I pay $268.00 a year with Progressive on my new Forester with a vanishing deductible. Can't say enough good things about this insurance company. I've been with Progressive since 2007 and used them once for an overcab window that was broke while driving down the interstate. Progressive sent the repairman to my home and I had no out of pocket expenses. Needless to say, I am a happy camper!

We had a TT with Progressive (via USAA), but when we got our new 5er they more than doubled it! We researche the subject in depth and solicited 6 quotes. We chose an A+ rated (Standard & Poors) underwriter, RLI (via BlueSky). We also moved our cars to them. We had been with USAA for *years* and have no tickets, accidents, good credit and 50+ years old. Moving to BlueSky cut our auto insurance almost in half and reduced our 5er insurance by about 25%! Bottom line, we saved over $1,400 a year!

So far, we have been very impressed with the customer service and like I said, the underwriter, RLI has been in insurance for over 40 years and is A+ rated.

YMMV...
