My roof was nasty... its been about a year since I pressure washed it... traveling all over has created some build up.

Don't forget me lucky charms!
What a bright difference a shiny clean roof makes. What cleaner do you use?

Simple Green is what I used... I let it soak on it for about 15 minutes.

The roof and the run down stains under the windows, decals & lights are the biggest pain to get clean.

Do you dilute it or full strength?

I'm anal about awning and toppers and "you know where"is the easiest place to clean them so I try to give the roof a little touch up for berries and bird drops
I like that pressure washed look though
I'm gonna do it after my Florida trip in October

I don't dilute... Simple green is not as strong as some of your other "chemical" degreaser..

The hardest parts to get clean are the vent covers and a/c unit... they are a bear but the pressure washer gets them nice and white.

I'd be askeered blasting high pressure water to my rubber roof in case of a small nick that would turn into a helluva tear in short order. A stiff brush and simple green works wonders.

What was the pressure set to on the washer? Did mine in last spring with a scrub brush, on my hands and knees. Gonna by one this weekend. Always wondered how it would do. I see the caulking does not seem to be disturbed.

Roof holds up just fine. I blast it very close on some spots that are stubborn. This is my second year pressure washing the roof. Caulking holds up just fine.

What I don't like to do is to spray chemicals on it then rub it in with a brush or sponge. I like to hit it with high pressure water.

Cleaned the roof and vent covers with a soft brush and diluted bleach. No scrubbing easy clean up and hose down.

You do know that bleach is an oxidizer? Even diluted - it can harm your finishes. So can phosphates (in some home detergents). The bleach can rinse off onto your awning and slide toppers and dissolve the stitching.
It's not worth the short-cut of using bleach compared to the negatives.
Want an easy way to clean - pay attention to your water PH. A range of 5 - 7 is ideal anything above or below can cause problems over the long range.

Washing can be made easier using a water softener or even better RO water but that's getting on expensive side. Basically the less impurities in the water, the better job water alone will do with cleaning.

I personally wouldnt pressure wash my rv. Thats asking for trouble, for the same reasons you dont pressure wash the roof on your house. Simple green and a car wash brush on an extension pole is all I use.
