Talking Jackknife sofa

I just bought a 2011 Sunseeker 2900 and I forgot to ask the demo guy how turn the sofa into a bed and I can't figure it out...I've looked for a lever but can't seem to find any...can anyone pls. tell me how...the service tech is closed for the weekend...thanks

Try putting your hands under the front of the couch and pulling up. It should start to lift up and towards you. To turn it back into a couch lift up and push down.
If yours is like mine the two halfs will not be level and the back will be a bit lower. A few pillows will level things out.

Thanks Backin15, I tried doing that before and when I felt some resistance, I stopped doing it for fear of breaking that front cover part of the sofa...now I'll just pull it till it opens up, hope ours is similar, otherwise I'll probably break that part of the sofa.

There should be a metal bar under there to pull on. When you feel some resistance you will probably also notice the back will begin to drop. Keep pulling towards you and the back will continue to drop and the resistance should go away. If it takes a lot of effort to the point you think something is going to break there may be something wrong.

we took ours out and replaced that uncomfortable thing with 2 nice comphy wallaway lazy boys much nicer
