We tow 4 down using a Blue OX face plate and tow bar and use a brake Buddy. To Tow the Liberty you just put the transfer case in neutral (instructions in the owners manual) and go. I did install a power outlet directly off the battery (with a fuse) to power the brake Buddy. That way I don't have to turn on the ignition. The Liberty doesn't have a steering column lock so no problem there.

That may be true depending on your Liberty year model. Our '05 Liberty does in fact have a steering lock so we do need to turn the key one notch before driving off.
Our power outlet is hot all the time though.

Just double check if you need to turn the key on or not. I don't what year models do and don't require you to turn them on first.
