The Jensen works fine, use the garmin for rental cars. How do I get the map upgdate card?

I would think you would contact jensen unless your unit is less than 90 days old when I picked mine up from the dealer I didn't turn on GPS then when at home I found it wouldn't work carried to dealer and was missing card haven't used yet but I don't think wife or will have any problems

Sitting at dealer now, waiting for the installation of a new Jensen GPS to be completed. Crossing fingers no more problems 👍

Jensen GPS system

The Dealer said they installed a brand new system, frankly I don't believe them. There are smudges, wear marks and sticky marks all over the system.

When they were done the service man didn't even show me what they did, he asked me if I had a manual and sent me on my way.

Now, instead of "my location" being stuck in Texas I am now stuck in Connecticut!

At least I was able to set the clock, on the radio that is! The GPS clock shows military time that is 4 hours faster than it should be.

The only REAL SPECIFIC option I wanted in our $80,000.00+ purchase is lousy!

I'd contact Jensen direct. (ASA is the distributor). Their service is normally great.

They post on here as either Asa ir Jensen direct.

I bought a lifetime up grade program from garmin thats installed into my laptop and every 6 months or so I download new map updates. Does Jensen have anything like this.

I have uConnect in my new Dodge Durango Citadel and it works great! The user interface is the best I've used of all the Kenwood, Pioneer, Jensen, Magnadyne, Garmin, and Tom Tom units. I have the technology and entertainment package installed and love the seamless integration of functions.

SoCalLengyels,

If the unit is not in DEMO mode and both the original and the replacement unit still do not show your correct location, I'd suspect the GPS antenna may be defective or not connected. Do you know if the dealer replaced the GPS antenna? If they only swapped the dash unit, it would make sense for the problem to carry over from unit to unit.

Before having the antenna fully replaced, have them connect a new antenna and run it out the window/door so it has a clear view of the sky and see if it starts to track your correct location after a couple minutes of acquisition. If so, then proceed with removal and installation of the new antenna.

Flap where the S/D card is? I don't have that "flap." I have a 2013 model, was that a recent change? According to my owner's manual, getting to the S/D card is a royal pain.

But to the Jensen Rep, gotta say, I LOVE the 12 volt TV's. All three of my TV's in the RV are Jensen 12 volt. I was hoping that at least ONE was a Jensen 12 volt when I ordered the RV, was pleased that all three TV's were Jensen.
