loud creaking noise in 3050S

I've noticed a very loud creaking noise when driving the 3050S. We just got it this summer, and it didn't make this noise when we test drove it. It seems to have gotten worse - or maybe it's just bugging me more now. I've walked around inside while wife was driving and the best I can tell it's coming from the top of the slide where the motor is (up front right behind the driver). It seems to happen when parking the rv, going slow on an unlevel spot, etc... I don't hear it driving down the highway. I know there must be a lot of flex in the slide with it being so big. Just wondering if any other 3050S owners have this loud creaking noise.

Hopefully it's just a slide adjustment. I would however look closely at the corner areas outside for any cracks in the fiber glass indicating a structural or flexing issue. Wall slides have just recently shown up in Class Cs mainly because of the stress the large hole puts on the chassis and structure requiring careful design and construction.

Might want to try lubing the slide gaskets with talcum powder or a silicone spray.

Let me know what you find...I have the same issue. It sounds like it is coming right behind driver's seat top of slide...My unit is a 2013.

My 2013 3051also makes a creaking noise, sometimes more than others. As I've previously discussed on here, my slide does not come in far enough. But since it works well and doesn't leak ( we recently were in 7+ inches of rain and high winds on the Outer Banks!), we have decided not to mess with it at this time. While returning home last weekend, I noticed that it was making more noise when the road curved to the right. Also, when we got home I tried the "in" position on the slide switch, and the motor started and ran for a couple of seconds. I didn't see the slide move. Anyone else noticed anything similar?

Just a thought, has anyone tried putting the slide block in to see if this helps? I would consider the placement of the block to be on each of the verticals at mid-point.
I'm thinking a little movement might be chaffing the rubber seal or the slide support roller.

sorry I haven't signed on in a while. No I have not found anything yet. I am taking the RV back to the dealer in a couple of weeks for a few minor things and will ask them to look at it. I will let you know if they find anything.

My unit didn't come with any slide blocks. My older Class A did, but the dealer said this didn't come with any kind of blocks. I wonder if this could be a design flaw and blocks could prevent any slight shifting of the load causing the creaks. I will let you all know in a month or so after I get it into the dealer.

slide sounds

i had an A that had slides that went flush against the unit. the slide on the 3050s does stick out a few inches, the dealer said this was the way that sunseeker put the gaskets on the slide. they did not include the gasket in the cut for the slide and that is why it does not close flush. i went out again this weekend and still do not have that loud sound. unit stayed nice and warm with no cold drafts anywhere had 4 our sunseekers in the park, all loved their unit . keep on camping
