Magnadyne am/fm

On my Sunseeker 3010DS with the Magnadyne dash unit, it there any to turn off the am/fm radio while using the gps? To hear gps, I have to turn up volume, then it's way too loud for the radio. I enjoy conversation with my wife and can't with the radio playing.

Set it to an input you are not using - can't remember the options, but something like Dvd, USB, AUX. Something other than AM, FM, Weather. Unused input - no sound except from Nav directions.

There is also an adjustment in the setup menu of the Nav system to adjust its sound level in relation to the radio sound. Adjust it to the max level and then adjust radio level to a reasonable level and nav sound should also be at an appropriate level. Otherwise, as has been said, set radio to an unused input like USB.

YIPPY SKIPPY I'm going to try that! If I'm driving through, like, Albuquerque, I don't want the radio on while running the GPS!
