I am steadily becoming dissatisfied with Naviextras across the pond support lifeline with this GPS in my 3051s. I emailed Magnadyne Support today along with FR. I think the problem is with the older radios with the micro sd card in the back. The new Windows CE Operating System, older radio, and new POIs are a bad combination. Thinking about installing a new Pioneer or Kenwood head set before next season. Maybe Santa Claus will bring me one for Christmas!

I know when I downloaded the updated OS I install it first before downloading and updating the maps and other items. Heading out in the morning and will see what happens.

Mike, that's correct. The Windows CE Operating System must be updated into the radio first, then remove the micro sd card and reinsert into computer card reader to update POIs. I received another notification from Naviextras Europe that their software engineers are working on a solution. Again, I believe this issue is with the radios that have the micro sd card in the back. Your radio automatically builds a crash log report and stores it on the micro sd card when something goes wrong with the GPS. Kinda is a nice feature when something goes wrong....

Ourflat, ran mine from Florida to Mississippi today and not a bleep. Looks like you are correct on the SD card slot.

Yep, my radio is an older version. Magnadyne has asked me for additional data so tomorrow I will take the battery and reinstall it to turn the radio on! I hope it's a simple fix because I really don't want to buy a replacement radio and have it installed.

I pulled the unit from the dash but cannot for the life of me see an sd slot back there. I do have one on the front of the unit but no card so I'm thinking that isn't what I'm looking for. Anyone have a picture? Appreciate any help out there.

It will be attached to a cord on the left back side of the radio if you have Ver 1. The SD card sits inside a flat case that will pop open. If you have a Ver 2 radio then you will load the card from the front.

Here is where the SD card goes on the newer units. The card is recessed and can be hard to see.

Mine looks like that on the front but I found the SD card slot on the end of a heavy black cable connected to the back of the unit after I pulled it from the dash.
