Magnadyne screen glare

2013 Sunseeker, in the day time it is very difficult to see the screen on the CD/Radio/GPS as there is a lot of glare on it. Anybody else with that problem and how did you solve it Thanks

We have the same problem with our 13 2860. For now the wifie just uses her hand as a sun shield.

Also watch the clock..for some reason this last weekend it jumped 5 hours on.

Ours is pretty good if you have it set for daylight. Are you running with headlights on? They have an automatic dimming feature if your lights are on. I always run with my lights on so in the daylight it is hard to see. There is an icon on all the screens except Navigation that you can turn it back on to daylight mode. Hate having to switch back to radio, hit the button then back to NAV if I dip the lights for a merging truck.
Hope that helps.

So far we like the Chevy, haven't put many miles on it yet but leaving in about 3 weeks till first of Oct. and will be putting about 7,000 miles on it, will know better after that.
Do not have headlights on as it has daytime running lights. If I take off my sunglasses I can see it a little bit..

As mentioned, make sure you use the "brightness" icon is set to daytime. Also you can adjust brightness in the settings.

That screen will default to dim when you turn the ignition key - the headlights come on, and the unit goes to nighttime mode. You'll have to manually change the brightness per bclemens post above. I have a top of the line Kenwood in one of my cars, and have the same problem with glare; this is common to any touch-screen unit. You can make a shield to fit into the space between radio and the surround that will keep sun off the screen. I've seen them advertised commercially, but don't know if they'll fit every radio, but if it's a standard double DIN they should work.

I cut the wire that senses lights on (and therefore dims display) so it is always on the bright setting. Don't drive much at night and can always manually dim the display if needed.

Dangercliff,

I get about 9.7 average on my Chevy. Best MPG is 63-65MPH on the highway.
