Mattress Question (Serta)

Okay Everyone,

We have another dumb question! We ordered the upgraded Serta Mattress with our new Coach! One end of the mattress has rounded corners and the other end are squared off.

Should the rounded corners be at the headboard or at the foot of the bed? FR (or Dealer) has the rounded corners at the top of the bed. My wife seems to think they should be at the foot of the bed to make it easier to walk around the base of the bed.

We just aren't sure which way it should be or if it even matters. Since the bed moves with the Slide, is there a certain way it should be.

Okay, I've rambled enough.. Thanks...

You are correct. Rounded corners at foot of bed to make it easier to walk around.

Mine came with rounded corners at the bottom but I'm sure there is no problem either way.
Not sure if others have this problem but I always find the covers and spread tend to slide off the bottom of the bed when sleeping with a short queen. Since the corners are rounded and the base is square the plywood base sticks out enough to add a short (to top of mattress) bed post at the corners. At night I tuck the spread and blanket behind it and no more sliding off. During the day the spread is left over the posts so it looks normal.

All right answers.
They try and reduce the number of sizes of mattresses that we order. The corner beds take the rounded bottom corners. A walk around Queen does not, normally but they can be used. We noticed that the bed base would sometimes stick out at the rounded corners so they flip it so the rounded portion is at the top where you don't really notice.

If you flip it and have the wood bed base sticking out at the corners, then it goes the other way. If you put the rounded corners at the bottom and it looks good, then that is the right way.

Yep, Went out this weekend, turned the mattress around so the rounded corners were at the bottom. Works great and no issue with the slide when we closed it up.

Thanks..
