Hi, all. My '03 Sunseeker 2900 LE is still in storage and we are buying a new car... ideally one that can serve as a dinghy. Does anyone happen to know where I might find the maximum weight that can be towed behind our motorhome? Thank you in advance.
I can't be of much help, but I see that the hitch capacity is different for a ford chassis (5,000lbs) from a Chevy (3,500), so to help other readers who may have advice, you might have to give a bit more detail. Also whether you plan to use a car dolly or not. Based on just those hitch ratings though, just about any compact car would be within range.

Thanks for the reply. Since my original post, I have figured it out. In case anyone else wants to know, the Sunseeker 2900 with the Ford chassis can tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds, while the Class 3 hitch has a rating of 5,000 pounds. So, any towable compact car under 5,000 pounds would work. By the way, I plan to tow the car with all four wheels down.
