Not to hijack the thread, but this post makes it a good time to mention you (everyone) REALLY need one of these:

Having same problem on my 2014 FR3. Never had that problem on my 2011 Coachman Freelander. Electric water heater might be my difference

That is the rated input - not necessarily the actual AC draw at any given time.

Good idea but the AC & Microwave run together can still trip the main 30A breakers with the electric protection in place & with proper campground voltage

Right "but" there is an AC amp draw regardless @ all times from the converter.
It's always charging the battery.
As in the chart I posted 1-8 amps

Is this true? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks all,

No it is not normal. Couple of things can cause this. Here is a post I just sent in another thread with same problem.

How big is you MW and AC? Taking a gues but at that temp everyone is running their AC. This may be dropping you incoming voltage at the pole. Lower voltage means higher currant draw means POP goes the circuit ! I am guessing you don't have a surge protector. If you did you would know for sure what is happening. I would strongly recommend getting one. There are a lot of threads on here about them, this thread is currant:

decent 30 amp surge protector

If we are on shore power, we usually don't have a problem with running both, but once or twice have popped the breaker.
running on the genny, yeah, we will have to shut off the a/c to run the mic. it will pop everytime.

It's the electric water heater being on. Turn it off of you don't want to trip the breaker while using the A/C and micro.

Thanks for your input. We have a surge protector installed in our fifth. It wasn't cheap. About three hundred dollars. It was well worth the price. If you go to a campground with low , reversed or intermittent surges it takes care of that. We used to have one on the main power line but now it is inside the rv and when you plug into post it takes exactly 2 1/2 minutes to get power in the rv. Helps making replacement of electrical equipment not an issue. I would be without one.

Now that is one for the books! Fireplace doesn't use any electric. Once it's lit. The microwave and the air conditioner doesn't use any gas. That makes no sense at all! I'm going to have think about this for a while.

Fireplaces in the Fifth wheels are electric and throw out a lot of heat when needed. Takes as much power as the microwave plus.

They require a 15 amp outlet.
the one I looked @ was between 7.5 and 9 amp draw.

OK, now I understand. I thought they were gas logs.

Just to throw in my two cents. We were getting the new Ultra V ready for this weekend. I had the TT running of the generator to get my 30 amps. We had the air on and my DW was running the vac (10 amp). I was checking the TV and the stereo. It tripped the breaker on the generator, but not in the TT. I turned off the TV and stereo, and we didn't have anymore problems and got our cleaning done. I'm sure the breaker on the gen is not the best in the world, either.

we had this issue with the last 2 campers we had before the one we have now, because they were both using the same circuit, the only way to avoid it was to run one to another circuit. I personally think the AC needs to be on a circuit by itself

A/c is normally on its own circuit.
So is microwave.
Confused?

This sounds like Greenacres in Hooterville where Oliver Wendell Douglas is teaching his wife Lisa how to run her appliances in their run down farmhouse. Every plug has a number attached to it 1-7 and she can plug in anything till it adds up to 7. After that the fuse blows out. This sounds like some RVs when everything can't run at once and 7 is the max.
