Not to hijack the thread, but this post makes it a good time to mention you (everyone) REALLY need one of these:

Having same problem on my 2014 FR3. Never had that problem on my 2011 Coachman Freelander. Electric water heater might be my difference

That is the rated input - not necessarily the actual AC draw at any given time.

Good idea but the AC & Microwave run together can still trip the main 30A breakers with the electric protection in place & with proper campground voltage

Right "but" there is an AC amp draw regardless @ all times from the converter.
It's always charging the battery.
As in the chart I posted 1-8 amps

Is this true? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks all,

No it is not normal. Couple of things can cause this. Here is a post I just sent in another thread with same problem.

How big is you MW and AC? Taking a gues but at that temp everyone is running their AC. This may be dropping you incoming voltage at the pole. Lower voltage means higher currant draw means POP goes the circuit ! I am guessing you don't have a surge protector. If you did you would know for sure what is happening. I would strongly recommend getting one. There are a lot of threads on here about them, this thread is currant:

decent 30 amp surge protector

If we are on shore power, we usually don't have a problem with running both, but once or twice have popped the breaker.
running on the genny, yeah, we will have to shut off the a/c to run the mic. it will pop everytime.

It's the electric water heater being on. Turn it off of you don't want to trip the breaker while using the A/C and micro.

I can use both the AC and microwave. My fireplace turns off if I use the microwave. Normal! but we work with it.
