Microwave oven 3050

My microwave just quit working. Lights are on, display 0000 on clock but none of the buttons will work. Turned breaker off and hoped for reset no luck. Any ideas?

I once saw on this forum that there is a recall on them to replace the electronic boards. Seach this forum and you should be able find it or search the web on your make and model Microwave.

Yes yes yes. This also happened to us on 2014 3051S forester. It is the touchpad. Now it took 2 weeks of calls to dealer and more calls to Microwave Manufacturer. There is some kind of squabble betwwen FR and manufacterer on micro problems. Depending on exact model serial number there either is or is not a recall. Manufacturer states that this problem only occurs in FR MH's and not in any units in residential homes. Non the less it is a warranty issue. Now another issue when a manufacturer qualified repair man came to us there was a problem with the computer board, it had additional push plug and would not fit even though it had correct numbers. So we left board and changed touchpad and problem fixed. It is rhe touchpad and we think that micro was not secured to wall tightly micro twisted slightly. This deduction when he had hard time reinstalling micro in wall.

Thanks. I have a great dealer. I guess I'll take it to them.

The Frigidaire models were recalled. Basically they can randomly turn on by themselves.

We use the exact same model as the residential. its not that the residential versions don't have the issues, its that most people don't store things in their microwave at home. In an RV it is assumed that they do. So we have to pay for a recall...even through Frigidaire says they post a warning "do not store anything in microwave" that removes them from liability, department of transportation says otherwise.

Thanks BC. Does that mean FR is replacing them?

My dealer seems to be struggling with the replacement issues.
