Even with the issues we've had, I'd probably still buy a forester again if we wanted another class c.. However, even though I bought off the lot, I'd be a little more thorough with my inspection. I could've saved myself a lot of headache if I'd have walked on my gut feeling after noticing a few things. Good thing about lot shopping is you can possibly pick one with the least amount of problems. Always a gamble to order as you wait 8+ weeks to get what you hope is a good one. We've ordered 2 of our previous RV's and received some great problem free units. Guess we got lucky. While we're throwing sports out there, might as well put my 2 cents in. Native Louisiana family, so yes, did hard LSU and Saints. Then there's my wife's Atlanta Braves. Those are the only 3 real reasons we bring the DTV box, but I do occasionally hit the history and discovery channels. We don't have an outdoor TV in this one, but, we added a designated satellite inlet and can feed the cable jack with satellite output, thus making it possible to watch a TV outside via the cable TV inlet.

After getting the pictures turned correctly, it appears the awning support is mounted crooked and will give you fits. Have no idea how it can be fixed other than removing the support and slotting the mounting holes in the support and see if it can be straightened up and re-secured. Good luck. As for the damaged woodwork and close fit, the woodwork can be re-finished and the window trim can be made shallower by cutting it off at the wall a little.

Part of the dealers fix that they tell me FR was involved in includes these "shims".
You may have to turn the pic sideways to see. This is inside where the slide meets the wall. Is this even safe?
FR hasn't responded to me at all.

I know I'd be asking FR for a better solution, don't like the looks of that but may be totally fine, dunno!?

I have asked the dealership and sent communications to Forest River for contact....nothing at all.
I am very disappointed with our choice of manufacture.

Our outdoor TV has a special lock and key for security. It's different than all the other storage bays.

Ok...so a new problem.
Now the generator starts but doesnt power the unit.
The shore power works and it is not the fuse on the generator.
But since no one at FR responds to the dealership we can't get answers.
(I asked them to coordinate sending our unit back to factory to try to fix the slide issue properly - which they do not respond to)
I am absolutely stunned at their poor quality and responsiveness/customer service)
Anyways. Anyone have thoughts on my power problem? Thanx

Sounds like your generator isolation relay is not closing in. It keeps the generator from closing in and back feeding through the shore power feed and vice-versa. You said your unit works on shore power but not the generator, were you plugged in? I don't think this relay will let the generator close in if shore power is connected but I have not researched the control logic for this function to determine what is the preferred feed.

Did you check the 30 amp circuit breaker on the Onan generator? I am not aware of a fuse for the generator.
Do you have the name of your Forest River, Factory Warranty Representative for your RV. The Dealership that I purchased my 3051S will never see me again. There are other authorized places warranty work can get done besides the Dealership.

The dealer "claims" they are not getting a response. PM me your VIN. 99% of the time I hear that it is missing paperwork or lack of response for some info that may have been requested.
Why would the dealership need to call FR to troubleshoot a gen issue? That's why they hire certified techs.
