Moving bathroom fan switch
Has anyone moved the overhead bathroom fan switch to a wall location? My wife can't reach it and it seems like it would make sense to have the switch next to the light switch.
I have looked into it a bit and don't see any easy way short of removing wall panels to route the wires into the hollow wall.
It's kind of crazy they are not already mounted on the wall, but I guess it's a cost thing.
Any ideas would be welcomed.

Is the fixture close to any other 12V source? Such as a fan. You don't have to use the original power supply.

Just a thought - how about a 12v wireless switch. Quick google turned up a few on Amazon

On our Solera the bathroom fan switch is a push button. First thought is some sort of stick to push the button. Second thought is replace the push button switch with a chain pull switch - could then route the chain to the wall with screw eyes, if necessary. Avoids trying to route wires through the walls (ugh!).

Clever ideas for sure. I'm leaning towards a wireless option but the ones I have seen all have a fob. I would like to find a simple wall mounted switch (transmitter) and then it would look good and get the job done. Similar options exist for home 120 ac applications. The wall switch looks like any other residential light switch and it remotely controls something like a lamp.
I don't mind fishing for wires in the wall, but there is a wooden barrier in 2 directions. The only solution I have found is to open up the wall so a hole could be drilled into the void where the wires to the switch are located. I'm not to keen on the opening of the walls option.
Another thought I had is to use some track lighting type conduit and have it run down the wall to a normal switch. I don't think that would look to great.

With a wireless solution, consider the phantom load on the 12v battery. The receiver in the switch will constantly be "listening" for the signal to turn the light on/off. And will contribute to battery drain when boon docking and in storage unless you have a battery disconnect switch.

Here is a raceway or conduit that you could use to run the wire. If this isn't the right size, use Google to search for something that meets your needs: Latching Cable Raceway That Keeps Cables and Speaker Wires Inside

Why couldn't you wire the fan to the ceiling light so the fan would come on with your light

No can do. The light switch is on the wrong side of a wall stud. I have the switch moved and will show how I did it hopefully later today. It came out good.

You could wire it that way, and that is the way ours came from the factory. The wall switch provides power to both the ceiling light and the vent fan. Only problem is that DW can not reach the fan switch to shut it off when she wants. I need a DW with longer legs -

Nope in this coach the fan wiring and switch have 2 wooden barriers studs between it and any other switch. The wall would have to be opened up to drill through the studs. I have it moved and will take pictures later today. I came up with a pretty clean solution.

Switch moved!
Okay this what I did.
First pic is the before with the push button switch .
2nd pic is the result of a few minutes at the table saw and router table.
3rd pic is where I applied the home made channel material.
4th pic is the final install of the switch.
I think this will work out just fine.

Ceiling Fan Switch
Ha! This bothered me, too. I put an old wooden yardstick in the corner of the john! Non tech solution works fairly well!

After a few trips with this mod I have to say I'm pleased with it. I thought about a couple non tech solutions but sitting on the crapper and being able to push a button and clear the air is kinda nice, it's the little things I guess 😉
