Need to re-write that owner's manual!

Especially regarding leveling jacks. I have a 2013 Sunseeker and the directions for the leveling jacks apply to the HWH system, not the Quadra Big Foot.

For example, it says make sure the emergency brake is on. Well, with the HWH, it HAD to be on or it wouldn't go. With the Quadra, it doesn't have to be on, but it's a good idea!

Also, it said to make sure the ignition was on "run." Ok, again, under the HWH system, you had to turn the key on to operate it. Not so with with Quadra. If you have the ignition on with the Quadra, it won't work. I already tried it. (Or at least mine was wired that way....)

So, any other re-writes needed?

Your suggestion makes sense but it is nearly impossible. Unlike a regular motor vehicle where most every component is made by the manufacturer (Ford, GMC, Toyota) or it's contracted supplier where RV's are not. Especially motorhomes where you have the chassis by one manufacturer, the generator is by another, levelers by another, refrigerator by another............
and any of these manufacturers can change any function or feature at anytime not to mention that FR often makes supplier changes at any given time.
Hard to keep manuals current on any one item. I usually refer to the specific equipment manual for details for information. Grant it, it's a lot of manuals to keep up with.
I compiled a binder that it's tabbed to the specific equipment.

I SAY AMEN TO THE NEED FOR A PROPER OWNER'S MANUAL. The book that is refered to as an owners manual seems to be nothing but a compilation of generic articles from Trailor Life or somesuch.

You are better than I am! I bought a Rubbermaid container, and put all the manuals in that.
