New 2018 GTS 2800QS

Hi Guys,
Just coming over from the Coachmen section. We went to the Ft Myers RV show today. The same dealer that we bought our Coachmen Class A from had a 2800 with all the upgrades we wanted and one fantastic price. Could not let it go by with over 30% off invoice! So we signed the paper and wrote the check. Picking it up next week.

LET THE MODS BEGIN Have until mid May to get what I need to get done.

Its home in the driveway. My PDI revealed a broken spring retaining bolt
in the rear slide out awning, a leaking drain in the kitchen sink and 1/2 qt low
on the engine oil. The delivery took 4 hours including the paperwork. Another
30 min to mount the tow bar and attach the Smart Car. Then we were on our way
home. Too dark for pics.
The coach drove better than expected. I’m not sure the 5 star will be needed.
Tail wag was noticeable but not severe. I will add a henderson track bar to
address that. If I was not towing I do not think a track bar would be
indicated. I will try to post install pics for each mod.
Happy Trails

Congrats on the new coach. I love my 2800. I tried to message you but you have that disabled on your end. Just a heads up on a problem I had. Check the horizontal seam between the cab and front cap as well as the side seams behind the doors both horizontal and vertical. If they are painted over it will crack the paint in those areas and look bad. The fix was color coded caulking applied over the prepped cracks. Forest River told me they were instructed to discontinue painting over the seams. I had mine repaired since it was noticed in the first year. No other problems to speak of on our coast to coast trip last summer. 11000 miles so far on our 2017 2800qs.

Thanks for the heads up Chief. When I did the PDI I inspected the roof. The cap to fiberglass seam is painted. It also looks like the roof masking job was done by Knuckels McGirk. I bought a tube of dicor lap sealant to address any cracking that may occur.
