New 3010 with theater seating

I recently took delivery of my new 3010 that came with prototype theater seating (thanks BC). I believe FR plans to offer it as an option at some point. My initial impressions are that it's attractive and comfortable, although I haven't had much time in it. It also offers a good angle, when reclined, for watching the TV that's high on the wall.

My 2013 rockwood 8282ws has the reclining loveseat with center console and drink holders. I've seen them in quite a few units lately. Actually I liked the rocker recliner lazy boys in my wildcat better. But these are convenient.

Looks great! Do the recliners have seat belts so they can be used while on the road? We would love to switch our couch for something like this, but need the seat belts for passengers.

Yes, the difference between Rockwood (rocking) and us, is that we need to provide seat belts.

Not really. There is no backer in there to attach the recliners. A resourceful person can probably make it work, but if/when you order it...just order it. Don't say why.

Would these fit in place of the jack knife sofa in the slide of a 3170.

3010 sofa is 67" (roughly)
3170 Sofa is 71" (roughly)

backer in the floor to mount the recliner IPO of the sofa would not be there, but I'm sure you could figure something out.

not yet. Still in the testing phase. Should be by the end of the year through your dealer.

Any idea of how one goes about ordering these yet? We have a 2014 3010DS. I would like it to be a Christmas Present for the wife.

Name, Number??? I called Forest River a while ago, and just got sent to VM heck.

I'm curious as well

Also, could they replace the dinette in a 2015 2300?

Brian, How's the development coming on these recliners? Will they be ready to order on a 3050S by this fall (2015) ?

Just to clarify a few things. Dual recliners are already available for "new orders" on 2800 quad slide GTS, 31010, 24R. They are working on the 3050, those should be done any day now.

We have had to add additional backer in the floor so these will not be available for a retro fit of any older model. Obviously people have put in their own lazy boy recliners and that's fine, the liability is theirs for seatbelt compliance. I'm not sure if our parts department will let someone order them because then it would appear that we are complicit in their installation in a floor that was not designed for them. I will try and get clarification from engineering and parts on Tuesday. Maybe we can ship them with a disclaimer.

Brian, any reason they wouldn't work as a dinette replacement in the 2015 2300? Thanks.

as stated before, they have specific backer in the floors to mount the recliners. No floor plan without that option factory installed would have the backer in the correct position.

Would it work? About as well as others on here who have replaced their sofa/dinette with store bought lazy boys. Is it to code? Probably not.

My Home Theater seating - Winter installed

I installed them during the winter time. I can't wait to get to get out and use the camper for the 1st time. As for today, this morning was 2 degrees out side, so it still may be some time.

Here are some pictures, in the clearest one before install, you see the seat pushed back, I had to make a bracket to support the front of them to they could recline properly.
