New rolling upgrades??

I just happened to look at the "2014 Sunseeker Dare to Compare" poster on the Forest River website.

On that I saw two things that I didn't know..

1) A progressive dynamics 4-stage converter
2) Atwood water heater

I consider those nice changes from the single stage converter and Suburban water heater. Were these newly added as features? And when?

I guess what I really want to know is will they both be on MINE! I am soon taking delivery of a 3010DS that came off the line at the end of March. Its at the dealer but I haven't seen it yet.

Also still not clear if I am getting a 2015 or 2014....I hear some 2015s are coming thru now.

The water heater happened about 60 days ago so you should have that (no promises). The PD change just happened about a week ago. I never sent that poster in for the website...must have been my graphics designer or printer getting ahead of themselves.

Your's will more than likely be a 2015 if it rolled off late March.

Thank you! Very helpful information. I appreciate you taking the time to answer individual questions...

It looks like I may have been a little early for the new converter but not a big deal. I don't do a lot of dry camping (where I think the new PD converter would be a big gain) now anyway.

I can always upgrade that later on if I want. I will probably use the existing one until I need new batteries then think of changing all at the same time..

I am looking forward to getting out in the road in about a week..

Hey BClemens, is there any way I can purchase one of the new jack knife sofas for a 3170? The one with flip up footrests?

We don't build anything with flip up footrests. You would have to talk to whoever the furniture supplier is that builds that.

1. Tank is aluminum not steel. Less weight, and no need for an anode rod.
2. Electric element switch is on the control panel, not outside, hidden (although those people that turn on the electric without water may not think its such a good idea).
3. stainless steel latch. Not plastic
4. U-shape heating tubes supposed to heat more efficiently. Thus created a higher gph recovery.
