New RV, new to towing a vehicle

We bought what is probably the last remaining “new” 2013 Sunseeker 2900 and will pick up next weekend (woo-hoo!). Because it is 500 miles from home, we plan to tow our SUV on the way back.

We have an Excali-bar II tow bar & safety chains, a Brake Buddy with breakaway in place, and have wired the SUV's brake lights to a front-mounted connector that will hopefully play well with the 2900 (using a 7-pin cable with plans later to concoct a circuit to charge the toad battery). The 2007 GMC Envoy steering wheel apparently doesn't lock and being 4 wheel drive, we can flat tow it.

Does the RV have a 7-pin male connector?

The coffeemaker & pillows are packed... what else do we need? Are we overlooking anything?

Steve & Debbie
Come stargaze with us!

You might check to see if there is a break in period on the Sunseeker before towing. Usually manufactures recommend driving a vehicle for a set number of miles before hooking anything up.

JT, thank you, had not thought about that. We're hoping the trip from northern Indiana to the dealership in Iowa would be adequate. We had better read the manual!

It burns gasoline and has almost 500 miles on it.
