New Sunseeker 3010DS Were do I put...

After a few tenting years, 3 years in a pop up, 7 years in a Kodiak travel trailer camper, we are picking up our 2014 Sunseeker 3010DS next Saturday, (the wait is killing me!!)

I've picked up a few items to prepare for it, one being a Tailgator Satellite System. I'm trying to picture where the receiver will go. We didn't get the over the cab entertainment unit, so I'm trying to picture where this will go. Any ideas?

Looking forward doing some RV'ing in Wisconsin! Go Pack!

Well I spent the extra money and got a uhf reciever so the remote does "need " to "see" the receiver as it works on a radio signal.
My receiver resides in the basement out of the way from the living quarters.

Congrats and good luck!

Tailgater owners have no choice on the receiver (it has to be a 211k).

How did you get the HDMI cable to the TV from the basement?

Build a little shelf under the TV?

That was one of my thoughts, but I hate to think about changing something I have not even picked up yet. I was sort of hoping I missed "seeing" the home for those kinds of devices. But I'm thinking, (without seeing) that a shelf under that multi-switching device maybe where it will go.

BB920.. Check out this video I shot of my setup. It may help.

I also take my receiver out when not camping as it goes to my garage TV. I needed to make it easy to remove when unloading.

Wow, Thanks for that post. That helped BIG TIME. Still trying to decied how to do it. I did still have one question, I believe you said the Campground cable was hanging in your video, did you disconnect it from the TV or the back of that switch box? BTW - Try camping in Minocqua WI and it seems that all of the campgrounds their have cable TV hooks ups.

I am using a satellite receiver. I did unplug the park cable from the main input on the back of the switchbox. I then ran another coax back to the main input from the holes drilled under the switchbox. If you want to use park cable then connect the 2 cables together with a barrel connector.

Here are photos of my solution to not having a spot for the Satellite Receiver unit. I found a guy who knew what he was doing.
