|
No Hot water but the heater runs outside
This problem is solved but I had no hot water in the cabin but the hot water heater ran. It's under the sink there are bypass valves but it's behind a panel which has four screws in it can understand why this didn't get a door on it.

If you remove the drawer above that panel you can easily get to the bypass valves without taking that panel off.

Areas that have wires joining up and plumbing valves usually do not have doors. That’s to reduce the possibility of people storing stuff that could move around in that area and cause problems.

Doors, hinges and latches cost $$$. Not needed because you can remove the drawer.

Just as a side note... it is ALWAYS a good idea to lift the pop-off valve lever on the water heater to verify you have water in the tank BEFORE firing up either the LP side of the water heater or the electric. The electric element will burn out within a very short time with no water in the tank.
Just a quick lift of the pop-off valve lever will verify water in the tank and avoid a costly mistake.

The bypass valves were not in the correct position.

I have a similar setup for my water heater, but it is difficult for me to reach in to turn the valves. So, what I did was unscrew the panel and then got stick on velcro on the corners when I stick it back on. This way I just need to pull the panel off.

I removed the screws, added a draw pull to the panel, use velcro squares in the corners of the panel to hold it in place. Used a Blend-Fil pencil to fill the screw holes, looks great. Now panel is easily removed for access to plumbing/water heater.

Welcome to the forum.  That's not a bad idea as the screws tend to strip out after a few rounds of winterizing and de-winterizing...

I did that yesterday found it this morning got lucky ran electric heater all night no water because dumb dumb didn’t turn big red valve. Everything works better now
