Picking up my 2015 3010ds tomorrow

Very excited to be taking delivery of my new MH tomorrow and am wondering if any of you with similar models have any key points to share with me? Either things to be aware of, problems you had, things you love about it or hate about it etc. Thanks for your time !

Welcome and congrats on the new unit!!! Hope you enjoy as much as we do. When you do the PDI tomorrow take notes and take your time. Make sure if they point to the slide that it in fact works etc.

Congratulations! We picked our 3010ds up just about a year ago. It's had the typical warranty items but nothing serious.

We've spent the winter customizing it and are getting ready to head to Alaska soon.

We've found that 60 psi in the airbags makes it handle well.

We are really happy with ours.

Have fun!

Thanks for all the replies guys! This is my second MH..the one I am trading in is a 2006 Coachmen so this is a big change. I'm planning on video recording my pdi so I can refer back to it. I'm hoping the tech who does it knows the rig well enough to answer some specific questions. For example mine has the little entertainment center hookup with a coax connector outside the unit. I'm assuming that is connected internally to something but don't know if it's to the external cable connector on the other side, to the antenna, etc. I'm going to drive the guy crazy but for the money I'm paying I want all my questions answered

Question...on those airbags you say to inflate to 60 psi...is that something I can do with an air compressor or something I have to have done by a professional?

Air compressor or even a bicycle pump. Very easy.

Have you done any posts here about the customizations you have done?

I don't think I did in any detail...here is a list of some of them...small and large in no particular order...feel free to ask and I can probably give more detail on any of them.

Added 2" foam under center couch cushions to fill in uncomfortable low spot in bed mode
Replaced bathroom fan with fantastic fan with remote - original fan is weak and kids can't reach it
Added Maxxair fans to vents in bedroom and kitchen - has a ceiling fan mode that works when closed
Added curtain at bedroom door in addition to pleated door - easier to get in bathroom door
Added vinyl fence post sewer hose storage underneath
Added spare tire winch
Put quick connects on water hose
Made a longer gravity water fill hose to make it easier to fill fresh tank
Added tst 507 flow thru tpms
Added onboard air compressor with controls in cab for airbags
Addd a scanguage2
Hard wired gps, tpms etc to avoid cords
Added wireless headphones for tv
Added interior/exterior temp - mini weather station
Added noaa weather radio all hazards alert radio with roaming mode
Added sling straps to keep dinette bed cushions in place
Added wine glass rack
Added led soft glow night lights inside

I think that is most of it.

I agree! Get as much as you can from the pdi.

We even went so far as to bring a bag of microwave popcorn to try. Dealer probably thought we were nuts but we found out that the microwave worked that way 😃

Congrats on your purchase! Just be sure to check everything with a fine tooth comb, all wall plugs, operate all switches, etc. If you have full body paint check it closely as ours had some very deep scratches on a compartment door. Our Forester 3011 came in and when we went up to look at it found a few things that were not done on the special order request with one item bad enough to cause us to refuse the unit.

The only issue is where you connect the electric the hinge on the door is really fragile unless they changed it they break really easy. I super glued it but ever time I opened it would break again. Forest River is replacing it I hope the hinge is better.

Just finished my walk thru and only a couple issues...some paint chips outside, Knicks in the wood cabinetry. Most serious thing we found was the plate for the outside outlet is cracked...looks horrible but still works. They had to order it because it's apparently a non standard plate. I leave on my virgin trip with this thing in the morning so wish me luck!
