Plastic bubble over shower

I was clearing snow off my 3010 today and noticed how flimsy the plastic is on the shower cover. I don't remember it being that cheap on my 3170. It feels like if I put a little pressure on it with my hand it would go through. Doesn't seem like it would hold up for very long. Has anyone replaced there's with something a little beefier?

I have never tried to mess with mine (first and only trailer so limited experience anyway), but could you place a larger dime a top of the first? It would afford a second level of protection similar to a max-air (insert your brand of choice) vent cover. Attaching and condensation are two potential issues that come to mind. Can't help you too much right now as the rig is covered in snow like yours, spring hurry up already!!!!

It almost makes me wonder if they forgot to put an outer layer on it. It's a lot flimsier than all the other covers.
