Porch/door light

Has anyone changed out the outside overhead door light? The white light is attracted lots of bugs. Would like to find an amber colored light?

Thanks

I bought an amber replacement lens for the existing fixture (I think at CW, but it's been awhile and my memory fails me).

Mine uses a bulb that has the same base as a typical auto taillight/ turn signal bulb. Maybe replace the bulb with an amber turn signal bulb?
(Mine came with an amber plastic lense).

I replaced mine with the King Connect Bluetooth Speaker and Light, I wanted to add speakers to outside the coach and this was super easy to install. The bluetooth controls are great to change the color of the light and it has a built in "insect light". It is a bit pricey but I found it to be worth it. I get lost of questions about it in the CG's we stay at.

It is but it would have cost me a lot to have speakers cut into the side of the RV and then to wire the stereo to play out those same speakers. So to me it was more about the audio and updating the light was a nice add-on. Just wanted to throw it out there as an option.

Swap outside bulb to led from amazo world.
$2.50 a unit. Not great quality but two years in and works fine for 50 bucks total.

Grv T10 921 194 24-3528 SMD LED Bulb lamp Super Bright Warm White AC/DC 12V -28V*

In fact replaced all of the bulbs less the bath vanity and shower area, less power draw and way less heat.

Go with a motion detection light. Can flip the switch to stay on steady, if wanted.

Thanks for the replies.

After several nights of camping, I have decided I really like the awning lights. I've been using that as it tends to disperse the bugs along the outside wall along the awning. At least it gets most of the bugs away from the door.

Thanks,

Shirley
