I can't check this for sure right now but, doesn't the round 7 wire trailer connector have a live 12 volt wire?
My work truck does, when the key is on anyway.

Power aside, the issue I think will be getting the camera high enough (and not showing the wire). The advantage of inside is longitivity unless you go with a higher quality exterior unit. My second camera mount is shown in my album....

Update::: I installed the camera found power within 6 ft Made the install inside and camera is adjustable for distance and angle. There is no interference when walking inside or motor, radio,gps. Thanks for all the help and ideas.
