Power Inverter

Good evening everyone. Wife and I were just watching the main TV and it shut down. Checked all the breakers and all's fine. She mentioned she had heard two beeps, then two more then the set went down. Checked every thing again and then I thought we'll shut the inverter off and back on again. Worked for a few minutes and the beeps again, then it tripped again. I could not hear them but she could. Has anyone had this problem with the inverter. Our is a WF-600T Series. Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter.

thanks in advance
Gary

Yep, I believe you shot your battery. Most inverters have a low voltage cut out around 10 volts BUT at about 11 volts the regulator stops regulating and your TV can NOT stand unregulated power. Hopefully the TV just shut down and was not damaged.

Your inverter shuts down at 10.5 volts and stops regulating at 11 volts.

No. Tv still works, but this morning, found three receptacles not working. Going back to check fuses. How do the coach batteries get charged on the road other than by manual charger.

The battery control center manages battery charging in motor homes.

Here is a generic (Georgetown) schematic that should give you a hint on how to trouble shoot it.

Good afternoon. More checking and found GFI tripped in the bathroom. Going to see what happens this evening regarding possible trip again and also the TV. Had started up the RV and ran for 5 min. Ironically TV didn't shutdown, but had no hydro to the receptacles. Now, i'll have to see what or what's tripping the GFI.
I'll let you know if I find the source.

thanks for all your info

Hello again. Well, out for the day. Got home after dinner, sat down to watch TV, NO TV.
So, I started up the RV for 8 minutes and vualla, TV's working. Only worked for about 1/2 hr. So, i'll definitely be checking around for a multimeter and a battery charger and start charging my batteries.
Then will see how they are.
Thanks again for everyone's input

Beeping noise from inverter remote area

Well. It was the low voltage from the coach batteries which was causing the beeps. Everything charging up and seems to be working aok!
Thanks to everyone for their help.

You need to watch your batteries more closely or you will be replacing them soon. They can only take a few deep discharge cycles before crapping out ( technical term). If they get low enough to trip the inverter safety they are to low. Voltages to remember

For deep cycle wet cell batts

12.8 volts full charge ( 24 hr rest disconnected)
12.4 volts half charge
12.0 volts empty

These are at rest no discharge voltages and that is why the inverter cut off is lower than that. Get a good digital voltmeter ( I have a fluke) and use to often to get a picture of what is happening. I'm guessing that your TV on the inverter draws a fair bit of power and your coach batteries are not up to the task.
