Proper way to start Onan

I just picked up my 3170DS and I love it! My old unit had a generac and the prime and start procedure was different than the onan. Do I just hold the switch in the off position until the led lights up, and then hold the switch on until it starts?

When the light comes on that indicates that the priming is started. I hold mine for 5 seconds or so after the light comes on and then go to start position and that seems to work well.

I am thinking that all Onans are not the same when starting. Mine starts only after a minimum of 15 sec priming.
