Pull vehicle?

We have a 2014 sunseeker, and it's gas, so I know it's not recommended to pull a vehicle, but does anyone know the weight it CAN pull? It's 31 feet long. Thank you!

I have a 2014 Sunseeker 3010ds and pull a 5000lb Buick Enclave with no problems at all.

Yes. Just make sure you have a good tow bar and supplemental braking system.

On the forestriver site they list the GVWR as 14500 lbs and GCWR as 22000 lbs so that gives 7500 lbs for towing.

A 2014 should have a Gross combined weight limit of 22,000 lbs. Check the stickers on the drivers door area. Given a gross vehicle weight of 14,500 lbs you could tow up to 7500 lbs. You need to check your hitch capacity. Older Units had 5000 lb hitches when the chassis limit was 20000 lbs. FR swapped to the larger hitch sometime after Ford raised their chassis to 22000 lbs. I think a 2014 is probably okay but you need to check it.

That should be fine, weight-wise, but you'd most likely need to use a tow-dolly. There are not many mini-vans that can be towed 4-down, at least not without mods. I think some earlier years of the Hondas were but that changed at some point. As far as I know, none of the new ones are approved for such.

we have a dodge journey front wheel drive and tow it with our 2008 sunseeker 31 foot..no problem. We us a dolly. even had to back up a few times with it on.

We just took delivery of a 2014 3050s. We tow my Jeep Wrangler behind her which comes in at 4400lbs dry weight. No issues.

If I understand, ours is rated at 7500lb tow with a GCWR of 22,000. A lot of factors do go into this.

We have a 2013 3170ds and pull a 2008 Honda Odyssey van with an Acme tow dolly. Set up works great and this MH pulls much better than I expected. Van weighs about 4500# and the tow dolly weighs just under 500#. I'm right at the max weight for the hitch and well within the GCWR. Taking the entire load from Oklahoma to Alaska in May.

I have never pulled a vehicle before as I have always had a trailer. I have heard some horror stories about locking wheels and tires being ruined. I have a 2011 Jeep Liberty Sport all set to do a "maiden pull" . The manual says "Turn OFF the engine and leave the ignition switch in the unlocked OFF position." Will that unlock the wheel so that it will turn instead of skid. Anything special I need to do? I am going to be using a Brakebuddy so will need power inside of Jeep but have heard that the battery should be disconnected. Any help on the subject would be great. Maybe someone out there has a Jeep like mine that they tow. It is 4WD with a disconnect.

Pulling my 2008 Wrangler Unlimited...just over 4,000 lbs. Don't even know it's there. I have an M&G supplemental brake setup that was worth every penny....

Terrie you have to leave the key on the towed car on so the steering does not lock up.. but if just left like that the batt will be dead after some time..

My setup is this, we got a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that I set up with Blue Ox tow bars,, I put a batt disconnect right next to the batt so it's as simple as just turning the knob and no drain on the batt.. after doing my resurch on systems i figured I only wanted to do this one time and wanted it to be as painless after the fact as possible, so I went with the Unified brake system for a couple of reasons.. once installed it stays on the car.. nothing to move off the drivers floor or disconnect from the petal. It uses the Jeeps power brake system via a vacuum pump so its not just jamming the brakes. Only thing I need to do or undo is the big 7 way light plug from the RV to the Toad.. that's it..

With this set up the only issue I have, is I have to reset the clock and the stations on the radio each time.. And I can say the RV will stop shorter with the Jeep in tow than without it..

I did the entire install with the help of a couple of friends in one day.. if I had to do this entire setup again I would go the same rout in every way..
