Pump runs but no water comes out/ problem solved - thanks

Iím doing the de-winterizing and every thing seemed fine until I turned the bypass under the shower to RV normal operation. Now my pump just keeps running and no water comes out of the facet. It seems to be ok if I turn on the city water. I do not see any leeks in the motor home or underneath RV. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

What does what I emboldened in blue above mean?

Meaning, you have water in the fresh tank and the pump was drawing water from the fresh tank but stopped when you turned the bypass valve?

And this bypass valve... are you referring to the winterization valve (that selects either drawing antifreeze into the system or drawing from the fresh tank) or the bypass valves on the water heater?

Either empty fresh water tank or more likely winterize hose is on and valve needs to be turned. Possibly even water heater filling up first

I followed steps in book and had it hooked up to city water then I ran out all the antifreeze and then I turned the handle under the shower to normal operation and waited about 10 minutes before I turned off city water. Then I turned on water pump and could not get water to come out. Pump would run.

Yes tank needs to have water in it to be able to use water pump.

I think that might be it! Let me fill that and see. I was thinking that hooking the hose up on the side would fill that tank but you are saying that the tank needs filled by another fill on the back of RV.

I don't know about your RV but mine has a "city water" connection that bypasses the tank so the pump is not used and a "tank fill" that fills the tank. The pump draws from the tank.
