Quadra Big Foot - Just give it a whack!

About a month ago, I had an issue with one of my "big foots" not going up all the way. Well, in APPEARANCE it WAS "all the way up" but the little box was beeping and saying it was not "up." So I put them back down, then raised them up, still same problem. OH NO, I don't have time to check this out at an RV dealer!!!!!!!!

I had to get propane, so I went into a gas station. The entry way to the gas station had a little bit of a "hump" I had to drive over. Well, the "offending big foot" got "whacked" by the "hump" and guess what, problem solved! No more beeping, the little box says "all up."

Ok, I'm not suggesting that this is the best solution. But so far so good, but I'm holding my breath each time. I think what happened is.... I was near the Pacific Ocean, and maybe some sand grains got on the pedestal and caused the issue, just a guess.....

You just have a limit switch slightly out of adjustment. Not hard to adjust but when it happens again just reach under and move the plunger up a little and it should clear. Look for the little device with a wire to it on the side of the cylinder.

I had the same issue. My limit switch was actually bent and wouldn't go all the way up even though the leveler was all the way up. If you unplug the control module under the front seat the alarm will stop until you can get the issue fixed. The dealer fixed mine under warranty.

Good to know! I hope I can do that if it happens again!

Quadra Bigfoot

Had the same problem on mine. Then dealer made some temporary repairs on the limiter switch. The leg was changed under warranty.
The alarm can be disabled in the remote control box. Unscrew the two screws on the back of the box and unplug the unit. Worked for me till we were able to get to the dealer.

Had the same issue with mine, hit the emergency retract button and the beep quit.
