Lots of typos, but dealer was no help. I called Dometic, not the dealer.

As long as I can't seem to put this all in one post, I'll mention that replacing the thermostat requires replacing the control unit inside the a/c unit besides replacing the wall display. The lower vent must be removed and the new control unit wired to the 120 volt wiring with wire nuts. .

Did Dometic send you the new thermostat? If it fixed the problem then it sounds like they know they have a problem and how to fix it. Time for them to share their fix with others.
