Question for Josh - Relay in K2 position

Josh,

I have a 2014 Sunseeker 3120. There is a relay in the battery isolation panel in position K2 as you read the panel. What is this relay. If the battery switch is off and the battery is charged to full up - it clicks. Just curious what it is and how I stop the clicking.

It is clicking when the battery reaches full charge and there is no load on the battery. As soon as I apply enough load it stops.

A relay will click if it is trying to close the current or connection. If you wait without applying a load it should stop clicking. If not you can try replacing the relay.

So what does this relay do in that position? Where might I get a new one?

It controls your arctic package. It may be a fuse not the relay. The fuse is 20A.

Interesting.....I don't have the artic package.....maybe more investigation is required on my part

Is it clicking once, or repeatedly? It could be the relay that charges your chassis battery and as soon as you apply a load it drops out the chassis battery because the coach needs the voltage for the house batteries. Even so, it should have a 15 second time constant that prevents what you are experiencing.

How is your chassis battery BTW? It could also be trying to charge the chassis and the chassis needs too much so it drops out again and then repeats the cycle. Again, the time constant should prevent this.
