We had a 2500 ts that we just sold. We put a mattress topper on the bed we bought at Costco. It was very comfortable and rolled itself up without problem when we pulled in the slide.

We have a 2500. I leave it made and watch as it folds in. Works fine. And our 2 piece mattress is hard as a rock. We too bought the 2" form for about $50 at a Big Lots. It folds with the sheet and quilt. But need to watch for binding.

I depends on whether you have the mattress that has 2 pieces that slide over each other (the joining edges are angled to facilitate this) as compared to the hinged one that folds in half. They used to have the one that folds, which I would have much preferred. But I got the one where the 2 halves slide over each other (I guess they came up with that design because people retraced the slide-out and left the hinged mattress flat (unfolded), which then jammed up against the opposite wall and stripped the slide-out gears). That's why I replaced it with the one I described in post#5, and it works for me. I can use the retracted bed as a sofa, a double layer of the 2 mattress pieces would be too high to sit on.

KAS, can you post photos both ways. That's really interesting, can you lay across it and nap?

Sunseeker Mattress

The mattress is 60 wide and 80 long, so each section is 60 x 27, so you can lie across one of the sections if you're or don't care if your feet hang over the edge. I'll send pictures shortly.

Our question was,,, if two older folks were sleeping in our 2500TS,,, and the old one on the left had to get up in the middle of the night,,, which happens a time or two,,, how does that older person on the left get out of the bed ???

DW solved the problem,,, she sleeps on the dinette bed !!!
The cab over bed works just fine for storage !!!
Again an old person problem !!!
