Question on battery charging circuit
During the Winter, I have my 2011 Sunseeker 2650DS plugged into 115 VAC to keep the coach batteries charged. I also have a seperate trickle charger for the engine battery which is plugged in to the AC outlet and feeds the engine battery through the cigerette lighter. I was communicating with a member in the forum who advised that I may not need this because the converter in the coach will also charge the engine battery and would automatically disconnect if the voltage dropped below 12.7. This would be necessary if the converter/charger failed and started to drain the engine battery along with the coach batteries; I have the 12 VDC still active in the coach as we are in/out of the unit quite a bit during the off season. What Herc has told me makes sense, I just want to verify that this is correct for my model.
