rear view mirror style backup monitor

My new Sunseeker 2300 has the above mentioned backup system. It is only active when in reverse. I like to have it on all the time to monitor the toad and assist in changing lanes. Is there a way to do this?

Yes, mine has a button on bottom right to turn on and leave on.

rear view mirror style backup monitor

In daytime I run with mine on all the time (watching bike rack on hitch). It is too bright to have on at night. As said, bottom right button on monitor will turn it on (MH key has to be on also). Audio only works when in reverse. There are volume controls for that on the monitor also. Should also be a small remote control to turn on-off, adjust volume, etc.

You may need to adjust the camera up or down to get your desired picture. Likely will find that it can be adjusted to either watch the hitch/toad or see the road behind for lane changes--but not both at once.

Volume

I found the backup camera volume to be pretty much useless, but for me that wasn't a problem because we've always used walkie talkies and/or pre-determined hand signals.

So did you do something different than just turn up the volume on the rear camera monitor?

Maybe Joshua or Bclemens can tell me if my 2014 3010ds back up camera has the audio feature. I don't have side cameras so I don't know if audio was only on units with that option?

Audio should be on there...but for a while they were not hooking up the wire. We had some complaints about the volume being too loud....now too low.

Remember the MH must be in reverse for audio to work

If the video works in reverse, the blue/white wire is connected. My problem is no audio but video works in reverse.

There are two different wires. Audio wire should be shown in the installation manual I posted

I guess it is. When we went from Magnadyne to RVS, it looks like it went down to one wire. That's what I get for not reading it again.

I had my original malfunctioning backup camera on my 2013 Sunseeker replaced at the Goshen Rally and was informed that the new one did not have audio even though the controls for volume are on the unit.
