recliners

I'm thinking about removing the fold out sofa in my sunseeker 3010ds and replacing it with 2 recliners. With the sofa sitting on the slide, will this make the chairs sit too high to be useable for a shorter person?

We are looking to do the same thing. Either two recliners or a love seat with an armrest in the center. The problem is find a wall hugger that will fit on that small, 21 1/2 in shelf.

Theater seating is nice, although we lose a potential bed

I know the dual recliners is an option offered by forest river instead of the sofa

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Forest River Forums mobile app

I'm going to look into the Forest River recliners option as a retrofit, usually a factory made option works better than aftermarket. But my wife, who always has more sense than I do, suggests to wait until my leg problem is taken care of. If worst case scenario does happen, I won't need a recliner to support a prosthesis. Then maybe I can spent the money on my Z28 Camaro. I think the basic 350 cid, 290 hp crate engine would be nice.

Richard we did the same thing; just visited furniture stores until we found two that were small enough to fit. They are a little higher than I would like, but the comfort greatly outweighs the height issue. We usually have the foot rest raised anyway. BTW, I moved the TV to above the entry door, so it is directly in front of the recliners.

tmhyer, that's not quite accurate. You're in a Sunseker forum, this division does not offer a recliner option at this time. We used to offer one and no one bought it, so we discontinued it. Now that it seems to be back in style, we prototyping one in the next month.

Please post a picture of the prototype when available and if it would be available for purchase separately.

Well, its in...but in pieces. So once we get it installed I'll post. We have a guinea pig lined up, but not the same color. So if that falls through I might need a Guinea pig for Spice interior color.

Brian, your Guinea pig is not going to pass up a recliner option because of the color. It's just a matter of what color that little rodent (and his DW) picks for the rest of the interior........All of a sudden, I'm hungry for some raw carrots and lettuce.

Your call there. I just know the recliner came in the Spice color scheme (the brown leather).

Your color showed Pumice which is the gray leather normally, but to be honest there is a little brown in the fabric and the new Jeeps come with a brown/blue interior. We'll need to know pretty quick cause the driver/passenger seats would match the recliner.

I might be interested if it is suitable for a 3170. My interior is spice. It would depend on logistics.

Will this work in a 2011 3010DS? The sofa is my one major complaint.

BClemans, please post the outcome of the recliner conversion. If it would work for the 3170DSF, I would be very interested in this conversion. If your Guinea pigs fall thru, let me know.
