Refrigerator Clip usage

When we are done on a trip and clean out the fridge I use the little blue clips that latch the doors but leave them open to air them out.
Last week when I drive from storage to the shop, the bottom one came un latched and the door swung open and hit the locking clip on the shower door (2860) and took a nice chunk out of my pretty wood panel.
Moral of the story? When driving, close the fridge doors
My new signature tag line should be
"I screw up so you don't have to"

I have forgotten to remove the blue clips myself, but fortunately our refrigerator doors just slam against the shower door and no harm is done.

Experience is the best teacher, but I figured out a long time ago that I won't live long enough to learn all I need by making my own mistakes. It's good to learn from the mistakes of others.

I have done the same. Lucklly no dent in the shiny fridge doors yet. Keep intending to Amazon. Munchkin Xtraguard Dual Action Multi Use Latches, 2 Count. Should still be able to use the blue spacers for venting. The latches don't quite catch them.
