Question Remote Emergency Start

I'm told my 2013 - 3010DS has a remote emergency start system.
I don't have manuals for the unit.
How do I know if my rig has it installed, & if so how does it operate?
Thanks for any help.

If you mean the ability to use the coach battery to start the engine, there is a switch down low on the driver's seat (left side). Press and hold that switch while starting. It ties the coach battery to the chassis battery for "emergency" starting.

I found the switch.
When pressed I can hear a switch activate.
I put the ignition in the on position & pressed the button, but nothing happens.
I'm I missing a step or do I have a problem?

The switch connects the coach battery to the chassis battery. You still turn the key to start the engine as usual. If the chassis battery is charged and capable of starting the engine you really aren't going to know the difference.

Are you saying to hold in the switch on the side on the drivers seat while turning the ignition switch to start?

Yes. The switch only connects the batteries together. You still turn the key to start. This feature can get you out of a problem, but in all likelihood you could go years and never need this.
