Don't really know the number on the filter, get them @ Lowes.

After releasing the pressure, Place filter wrench in position,I have a block of wood in front of the filter, with a long screw driver, I pry up gently and then unscrew the filter. Those teeth on the filter housing just need to be unlocked. It's a good filter just stubborn to work with.

Well, if you get them at Lowes then apparently you don't know about the problems people have with the stock Forest River filters unscrewing themselves.

I believe the canisters that are having so many issues use the KW1 type filters and the canisters that use the C10 type filters have not had issues (at least very few). The KW1 filters are very expensive and the C10 filters are readily available everywhere and are cheap. I also believe people are removing the canisters because they think they have the KW1 filter type when in reality they may have the C10 filter type canister.

It is the stock Forest River filter canister that came in the 5er new. I just found a filter @ Lowes that fit the same as what the factory put in it.

Not to open a new can of worms but mine was surrounded by a lot of insulation foam and I had to carefully cut enough away to remove and reinstall
In other words first time removal was impossible and I couldn't figure out why until further inspection found a mound of foam under, toward the back of canister that was pinning it to the housing

This is the Can of Sunseeker Worms! Not a Pretty Site! Youroo!! I tried to tell the Factory they should just put (1) larger opening and cover in this area,but it feel on Deaf ears! PS the Foam sprayer and Hole Cutter could do a Neater job also!

I had that too. But nothing a jackknife couldn't clear out. And I'm happy to have lots of insulation and crack sealant! Once that was cleared a bit, I was able to remove full filter canisters twice without spilling a drop. Just use two hands, lower straight down and take straight out. The location under the bed is very not optimal but apparently that's where it had to be...

Here are some pictures of the filter I use. I have a new one installed and have 5 spares I carry in the basement. I will change filters after I get home from 3+ months in FL.

Installed a bypass on my 2011 Sunseeker 2300. Horrible job because the idiots at Forest River did not leave sufficient space to the left of the water pump for the bypass valve. It's bad enough to deal with a cheapskate company that won't provide a bypass, but having to redo the piping is adding insult to injury. Had to cut pipe and shift water pump to the right. Took the opportunity to remove the water filter. Another horrible project due to lack of clearance above top screws.
