Has anyone had a roaring noise in your unit between 35 - 45 mph? We only have 2700 miles on ours and this has started I need help please We have the Chev 4500 it is a 2014 chassis
Probably fan clutch.
Does it do it when it's cold?
I was surprised about the fan clutch noise - but that usually is noticed when taking off.
I may eject the engine fan if it gets annoying and install an electric fan.
Will help with the horsepower and torque also.
Take it to the Chevy dealer. There is a software update related to engine/transmission shifting. Mine was done on a recall notice, even though I had not experienced any abnormal shifting.

I agree with the fan clutch. I was on a trip out west when in New Mexico I got that loud sound like I down shifted and thought I had transmission problems. Went into a Amco Transmission shop and he immediately told me fan clutch was locking up causing it. Installed a new fan assembly and never had problem again. Some people have this happen on hot summer days in city traffic when the fan clutch kicks in.
We may have had the same noise coming from the rear of the unit. We were shocked to find out our inside dual tires had NO air in them. This may not be the same problem, but it's easy enough to eliminate as a cause.
