roof cleaning and protection

We now have a Sunseeker 2300 this is our first RV with a rubber roof.
Can I clean it with a power washer? What is a good way to protect it?

Yes, cause a 2010 would be a fiberglass roof. We switched from rubber to fiberglass back in 2007? 2008?

O please be right!!!! When we were shopping for this I wanted the Sunseeker over the Freelander because a brochure I had said 1 PC fiberglass roof.

When we bought it the salesman said yes he thought it had fiberglass, but when we picked it up (2 weeks ago) the tec that did the walk through said rubber and spent time telling me the care for it. I was so disappointed that I failed to pay attention to him.

When I went up yesterday to put on the Wingman I saw mold under where the antenna parks. I payed little attention to the roof as I was so sure it was rubber.......Just now I climbed back up and brushed off the snow and dirt......sure looks like fiberglass to me!!!!!! Has a design not smooth.....But I am now overjoyed as this RV has all that I had asked for. Thank you so much!!!!!!!

I would stay away from the pressure washer. With this washer you risk to send water where it is not supposed to go and can damage your caulking. For my part I fill up a pail of water and adds a bit of sunlight liquid dishwasher. I use a yatch mop and run all around the roof with a 10 foot stepladder. Like that I cannot damage my roof by walking on it and just rince it with the noozle from my garden hose.

Once we switched over to Fiberglass, we have always used a pebbled fiberglass for a little more traction. Glad to hear I could make your day.

To clean the roof on my sunseeker I used a bucket and a brush it took about 2 hours to do the entire roof on my 31 footer. Just be careful as it does tend to get slippery.

Roof Reseal

Purchased a 2005 29' Sunseeker. I want to reseal the roof. It is rubber. When a rubber roof is scraped does that do harm to the roof? When resealing the roof does the area over the cab section also get sealed? New to motor homes.

Being scrapped is not a big deal as long as it did not penetrate...I'd seal that area just to be safe.
